Belt bucket elevators have the following advantages over ordinary chain bucket elevators:
1. Because the belt is used as the traction component, the smoothness of its transmission is not available in the chain bucket elevator. There is no impact caused by the traction component, so the noise is very small and the efficiency is much higher than that of the traditional chain bucket elevator.
2. Because it is belt traction, there is no impact caused by its own structure in chain traction, and the transmission is stable, so the linear speed can be increased a lot, the material conveying speed is high, and the carrying capacity is good.
3. Because of its small impact, the service life of a qualified belt bucket elevator is very long, almost equal to the service life of similar belt conveyors under the same working conditions, while the service life of the chain of a chain conveyor is only one to four years.
4. Compared with the chain bucket elevator, its working conditions are higher, it is mainly used to transport powdery materials, and the cost is higher.
5. Because it is driven by a belt, positioning is relatively difficult. Too small a counterweight can easily cause slipping and deviation. Its axial positioning is difficult and deviation is prone to occur.
Maintenance method:
1. Belt bucket elevators are generally inspected every six months, mainly to inspect the hopper fastening bolts and belt joints, and tighten or replace the bolts.
2. Conduct a belt inspection once a year to confirm the aging degree of the rubber surface of the belt and the strength of the belt.
3. When the belt deviates, adjust the levelness of the head roller and the tail roller to correct it. If the rubber surface of the roller is worn and causes deviation, re-glue the roller and the rubber surface.
4. The tail bearing should be inspected regularly. Generally, the slip ring seal will wear out after being used for a long time, which will cause the bearing to be short of oil or materials to enter the lubricating oil, causing bearing damage. Generally, a good slip ring seal can be used for a long time.
