Detailed Introduction

WLS 800×2.25m non-axial screw conveyor (800 refers to the diameter of the screw 800mm, 2.25m is the horizontal machine length). It is a one-to-one equipment for large-diameter short-distance conveying of viscous / entangled materials. 

I. Basic Structure and Core Components

1. U-shaped housing + sealing cover plate: usually carbon steel Q235 or 304/316 stainless steel; inner lining with high molecular PE / nylon / cast stone wear-resistant (mainly based on actual reports); fully enclosed for leak prevention and odor control.

2. Non-axial screw: continuous steel belt / thick steel plate rolled, non-axial, solves fiber entanglement and shaft end blockage; blade thickness is customized according to the abrasiveness of the material.

3. Drive unit (usually at the discharge end, the screw is more stable under tension): motor + hard tooth surface reducer + coupling; torque is matched with power (for a 800-meter short machine, it is usually 15–22kW).

4. Inlet / outlet: flange connection, can be for top feeding, side feeding, or end discharging; a cleaning opening can be set at the bottom.

5. Frame + support: welded with type steel, leveling shims, convenient for installation.

II. Core Advantages and Application Scenarios

1. Advantages: anti-entanglement, no blockage; fully enclosed, environmentally friendly; low noise; simple structure, no intermediate bearings inside the housing, low maintenance; can convey wet sludge, kitchen waste, grit, sticky powder, semi-fluid materials that are difficult to handle by axial screw.

2. Applicable: sewage treatment plant sludge transportation, kitchen waste from waste incineration plants, paper pulp from paper mills, tailings from mines, chemical viscous materials.

III. Selection and Installation Tips

1. Material characteristics determine variety: moisture content, viscosity, abrasiveness, corrosiveness; if there are large impurities, a feeding screen must be equipped.

2. Angle correction: a 10° inclination reduces the conveying capacity by about 20%; 15° reduces by 40%; over 20°, non-axial screw is not recommended.

3. Drive power: the short machine (2.25m) has less torque and lower power than the long machine; but for hard particles or high-viscosity materials, it is necessary to calculate and enlarge the power according to the manufacturer's calculation.

4. Installation: the foundation must be level; add an oil-resistant / acid-base resistant good sealant at the flange connection; electrical equipment should have overload protection and good variable frequency speed regulation.

5. Maintenance: regularly check the oil level of the reducer, replace worn liners in time; clear the remaining materials in the housing after shutdown to prevent solidification.
