Ring chain scraper conveyor is a continuous conveying equipment that utilizes the circular motion of scraper chains to transport materials, widely used in industries such as mining, metallurgy, and building materials. Here is a detailed introduction:
1、 Working principle
The motor drives the sprocket on the head shaft to rotate through the reducer, causing the scraper chain to circulate. The scraper on the chain is fixed to the chain, forming a scraper chain as a traction component. The open chute serves as a material bearing component, and the scraper chain drives the material to move along the chute until it is unloaded at the machine head.
2、 Main components
1. Scraper chain: composed of a ring chain, a scraper, and a connecting ring, it is a component that transmits traction and directly scrapes materials. The ring chain is stamped from round steel, and the scraper is fixed to the chain through a connecting ring.
2. Head wheel set and tail wheel set: The head wheel set consists of a transmission shaft, head wheel, and support device, and is a key component for driving the scraper chain; The tail wheel group is a reversing mechanism of the loop chain, and its structure is similar to that of the head wheel group. The tail wheel and frame are installed by sliding, and the chain can be tightened by adjusting the bolts.
3. Transmission device: composed of a motor, a reducer, and a coupling, it provides power for the scraper conveyor and can be arranged on either side of the conveyor.
4. Trough box: It is a load-bearing component for materials, usually composed of multiple detachable open chutes that can be combined according to conveying requirements.
5. Tightening device: Use a screw to pull the rear sprocket bearing seat, causing the rear sprocket to move backwards, thereby tightening the scraper chain and confirming its normal operation.
3、 Characteristics
1. Simple structure: mainly composed of conveyor trough, scraper chain, driving device, etc., with relatively few components, easy installation and maintenance.
2. Wide applicability: It can horizontally, obliquely, or vertically transport various powders and granular materials, and is also suitable for complex environments such as high temperature, toxicity, and explosion.
3. Good transportation efficiency: Suitable transportation speed, capable of large volume and long-distance transportation.
4、 Types and Applications
According to the number of chains, it can be classified into single ring scraper conveyor and double ring scraper conveyor. The double ring scraper conveyor has high strength and bearing capacity, and is suitable for large coal mines, mines and other occasions with large conveying capacity, large material particle size or good hardness.
2. Classified by application industry: It can be divided into mining scraper conveyor and industrial scraper conveyor. Mining scraper conveyor is mainly used in coal mines, metal mines, etc. And transport coal mines; Industrial scraper conveyors are widely used in industries such as metallurgy, building materials, and chemical engineering to transport powder and granular materials.
5、 Key selection points
1. Chain speed selection: For materials with strong grindability, high temperature, and large particles, slow speed should be selected to reduce the wear of the chain and scraper.
2. Model selection: Choose the appropriate model based on the conveying capacity. Under the same conveying capacity, choosing a larger model can reduce chain speed and extend service life, but the conveying capacity should not be less than 30% of the rated conveying capacity.
3. Selection of feeding and discharging ports: For materials with poor fluidity or high temperature, it is generally not advisable to use feeding ports to avoid poor feeding.
