Detailed Introduction
The graphite powder scraper conveyor is a continuous conveying equipment specifically designed for conveying bulk materials such as graphite powder. Its working principle revolves around the core mechanism of "scraper chain traction+material scraping", combined with a sealed machine slot design to achieve stable conveying. The following provides a detailed explanation from two aspects: structural composition and operational process:
1、 Core structure composition
To understand its working principle, it is necessary to first clarify the key components and their functions:
1. Machine slot
It is usually a closed rectangular or U-shaped groove (graphite powder is prone to dust, closed design can reduce dust pollution), which is a channel for material transportation, with inlet and outlet ports at both ends.
2. Scraper chain
Chain: mostly roller chain or plate chain, used as a traction mechanism, circulating along the length direction of the machine slot.
Scraper: A plate-shaped component vertically fixed on the chain (made of wear-resistant (based on actual reports) (based on actual reports) steel or polymer materials to avoid contamination of graphite powder). The spacing between scrapers is designed according to the conveying capacity, and their width is slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the machine slot. It is confirmed that the material in the slot can be scraped.
3. Drive device
Composed of a motor, reducer, sprocket, etc., installed at one end of the machine slot, the scraper chain is driven by the driving sprocket to operate.
4. Tensioning device
Set at the other end of the machine slot, adjust the sprocket position to maintain the appropriate tension of the scraper chain and prevent the chain from slipping.
2、 Workflow (Operating Principle)
1. Material entry
Graphite powder falls into the bottom of the machine slot from the feed inlet (usually located at the drive end or middle) and accumulates under the scraper due to gravity.
2. Scraper traction and scraping
After the drive device is started, the sprocket drives the scraper chain to move along the length direction of the machine slot (horizontal or inclined), and the scraper fixed on the chain moves synchronously with the chain.
Due to the close contact between the scraper and the bottom of the machine slot (or leaving a small gap), the moving scraper will "scrape" the accumulated graphite powder and push the material forward together with the scraper (similar to the principle of a broom pushing dust when sweeping the floor).
3. Material discharge
When the material is pushed to the discharge port at the end of the machine slot by the scraper, it loses the support of the scraper and is discharged from the discharge port under the action of gravity or subsequent material thrust, completing the conveying process.
4. Loop operation
The scraper chain forms a closed loop through the chain wheels at both ends of the machine slot, and circulates under the continuous action of the driving device to achieve continuous transportation of graphite powder.
3、 Adaptive design for graphite powder
Graphite powder has the characteristics of low density, easy to fly, and may contain fine particles. The scraper conveyor needs to be optimized accordingly
Closed machine slot+small gap design between scraper and slot body to reduce dust leakage during transportation;
The scraper material should be wear-resistant (based on actual reports) and not prone to sparking (such as stainless steel) to avoid potential safety hazards caused by friction;
The spacing and operating speed of the scraper can be adjusted according to the fluidity of graphite powder to prevent the material from sliding down during inclined conveying (the inclination angle usually does not exceed 30 °, otherwise anti backflow design needs to be added).
