The conveying working principle of a bucket elevator is that the hopper scoops up the material from the storage below, and as the conveyor belt or chain lifts it to the top, it flips down after passing around the top wheel, and the bucket elevator tilts the material into the receiving groove. Common troubleshooting methods include: slipping of the hopper belt, deviation of the hopper belt, malfunction of the drive motor, and damage to the reducer.

1、 Working principle

A bucket elevator is a continuous conveying machinery that uses a series of hoppers uniformly attached to an endless traction component to vertically lift materials. It is divided into three types: loop chain, plate chain, and belt. The main characteristics of bucket elevator are low driving power, using inflow feeding, induction unloading, and dense arrangement of large capacity hoppers There is almost no material return or excavation during material lifting, so there is less ineffective power. The lifting range is wide, and this type of lifting machine has fewer requirements for the types and characteristics of materials. 2、 Common troubleshooting methods

The solution to the slipping of the hopper belt is to immediately stop the machine and tighten the hopper belt. If the hopper belt cannot be fully tensioned, it means that the stroke of the tensioning device is too short and needs to be adjusted.

The deviation of the hopper belt can easily cause the deviation of the hopper and the barrel, and the deviation of the hopper belt can easily lead to tearing of the hopper belt. If this situation occurs, the machine should be stopped immediately and the transmission shafts of the head wheel and low wheel should be adjusted to the same vertical and horizontal plane. And keep it in a horizontal position! The vertical deviation should not exceed 2MM, and the cumulative deviation should not exceed 8MM.

When the drive motor malfunctions, if the temperature of the hoist is too high, it can cause the motor to burn out. Some components of the hoist are prone to jamming. If jamming occurs, it is necessary to immediately cut off the power, identify the cause, adjust it in a timely manner, and clean up the fault before starting up.

Damage to the gearbox is one of the common faults in elevators, usually caused by high-speed shaft tearing, high-speed gear failure, gearbox bearing damage, or insufficient lubrication. If damage occurs, a hydraulic coupling between the electric motor and the reducer needs to be configured. In addition, the gearbox can be regularly inspected and maintained in a timely manner to reduce the probability of gearbox failure.
