Spiral conveyors come in a wide variety of types, with significant structural differences and multiple design parameters that are interconnected and limited, making design and selection complex and difficult.
1. Conveying capacity: The conveying capacity of a screw conveyor refers to the amount of material conveyed per unit time. When transporting bulk materials, the calculation should be based on the mass or volume of the transported materials per hour; When transporting individual items, the calculation should be based on the number of items transported per hour. When matching vibrating screen equipment such as linear vibrating screen, rotary vibrating screen, ultrasonic vibrating screen, etc., the feeding amount of the vibrating screen should be calculated and the conveying amount should be controlled. In order to design conveyor models reasonably, most conveyors need to consider whether they can be used in conjunction with other production equipment before design and production.
2. Conveyor speed: Increasing the conveyor speed can improve the conveying capacity. When the conveyor belt is used as a traction component and the conveying length is large, the conveying speed becomes faster and faster. However, high-speed belt conveyors should pay attention to issues such as vibration, noise, starting, and braking. For conveyors with chains as traction components, the conveying speed should not be too high to prevent an increase in power load. Meanwhile, the conveying speed of the feeding machine should be determined according to the production process requirements.
3. Component dimensions: the component dimensions of the conveyor include conveyor belt width, Flat noodles width, hopper volume, pipe diameter and container size. The size of these components directly affects the conveying capacity of the screw conveyor.
4. Conveyor length and inclination angle: The length and inclination angle of the conveyor line directly affect the total resistance and required power of the conveyor. At present, there are various types of conveyors, including direct parallel feeding and some inclined angles. Therefore, when choosing a screw conveyor, these usage conditions should be explained.
5. Spiral conveyor motors can be used as adjustable speed motors and ordinary motors to control conveying speed and hourly conveying volume.
6. Whether the hopper is added to the feeding port and the size of the feeding hopper.
