The main difference between tubular screw conveyor and vertical screw conveyor lies in their application scenarios and conveying methods.
Vertical screw conveyor; Mainly used for direct transportation of materials, it requires overcoming significant gravity. This is a typical cotton processing material conveying method, suitable for vertical conveying of bulk granular materials, especially in situations such as ginning plants. The upward transportation of materials by a vertical screw conveyor relies on the appropriate screw speed, centrifugal force on the material particles, and the resulting groove wall friction. This type of conveyor is different from a horizontal screw conveyor in terms of conveying form. Its conveying process involves the action of physical forces such as centrifugal force and friction force to overcome the gravity of material descent and achieve vertical conveying of materials.
Pipe type screw conveyor, also known as screw winch, is generally used for horizontal conveying of materials. Suitable for conveying various powdery, granular, and small block materials such as coal powder, coal, cement, sand and gravel. The conveying direction of the tubular screw conveyor is mainly horizontal, and it can also be inclined at a determined angle for conveying, but its main design purpose is to move materials in the horizontal or inclined direction, rather than vertical lifting.
Generally speaking, the main function of a vertical screw conveyor is to vertically lift materials, while a tubular screw conveyor is more suitable for conveying materials in a horizontal or inclined direction. There are significant differences between the two in terms of structure, working principle, and application scenarios
