The spray tower (spray tower) is a simple gas absorption equipment. In the spray tower, the liquid is the dispersed phase and the gas is the continuous phase. Generally speaking, gases and liquids are relatively small and suitable for absorption processes that are relatively fast or have relatively fast chemical reactions. The spray tower is improved on the basis of the floating packing layer gas purifier. Widely used in the pretreatment of industrial waste gas purification and dust removal, with good purification effect.

The exhaust gas purification device of the spray tower consists of tower body, packing, liquid distributor, gas water separator, spray system, circulating pump, circulating water tank, chemical storage and loading system and other units.

The packing layer inside the tower serves as a mass transfer device for gas-liquid two-phase contact components. The bottom of the spray tower exhaust gas purification device is equipped with a packing support plate, and the packing is placed on the support plate in a complex and intricate manner. The pressure plate is installed above the packing to prevent it from being blown away by the rising airflow. The spray is sprayed onto the packing through the liquid distributor from the tower top and flows down along the packing surface. Gas is transported from the bottom of the tower and distributed through a gas distribution device, and the gaps in the packing layer are continuous with the liquid reflux. On the surface of the packing, gas and liquid are in close contact with mass transfer.

When the liquid flows down along the packing layer, wall flow may sometimes occur. The wall flow effect leads to uneven distribution of gas-liquid phases in the packing layer, thereby reducing mass transfer efficiency. Therefore, the packing layer in the exhaust gas purification device of the spray tower is divided into two parts, with a redistribution device installed in the middle, and then sprayed on the lower packing after redistribution.

To avoid gas carrying spray, intercept the spray in the overhead gas water separator. The spray is recycled, and part of it is lost during use. The circulating water tank at the bottom of the tower shall timely supplement the spray.
