Detailed Introduction
Pneumatic gate valve (also known as pneumatic knife gate valve) is an industrial valve that uses compressed air as power and achieves appropriate speed for cutting and flow regulation through the linear reciprocating motion of the gate plate. It is particularly adept at handling powders, granules and small pieces of dry materials. It is the core control equipment for industries such as building materials, metallurgy, power, and grain, including warehouse tops/bottoms and conveying pipelines. Structural composition: Valve body frame: Made of carbon steel/stainless steel by welding, square or circular flow channels, without groove design to prevent medium blockage; Gate: Flat plate or knife type with a through opening, soft seal (PTFE), two types of hard seals (hard alloy overlay); Pneumatic actuator: Double-acting (pneumatic open/close) or single-acting (pneumatic open, spring reset close, fail-safe type); Auxiliary components: (4-20mA regulation opening), three couplings: limit switch, solenoid valve, air source treatment. Working principle: Compressed air drives the cylinder piston, the gate moves horizontally (or vertically) through the connecting rod/screw; When the through opening on the gate aligns with the valve body flow channel, it is fully opened; If all are misaligned, it is fully closed; Combined with electricity, it can regulate any opening flow rate; The single-acting actuator can automatically reset to the safe position when the air supply is cut off. Core features: Advantages: Simple structure, light weight, fast opening/closing (commonly double-acting ≤ 1s), no channel retention, excellent sealing, flexible installation angle; Limitations: Not suitable for high viscosity media and long-term regulation under high pressure difference; For large-diameter high-pressure conditions, an actuator or a speed reduction mechanism needs to be added.
