How to prevent material leakage in spiral feeders
By regularly inspecting and replacing seals, maintaining proper lubrication, and adjusting the gap between the spiral blades and the housing, it is possible to prevent material leakage in the spiral feeder.
Firstly, regularly inspect and replace the seals
Seals are commonly used to seal key components at the shaft end and flange connection of spiral feeders. After long-term use, these seals may lose their sealing effect due to wear and tear. Therefore, regular inspection and timely replacement of these seals are key to preventing leaks.
Maintain appropriate lubrication
In order to reduce wear and prevent material leakage from gaps, the bearings and transmission components of the screw feeder need to be properly lubricated. The working status of the lubrication system should be regularly checked to confirm the adequacy and cleanliness of the lubricating oil or grease.
Adjust the gap between the spiral blade and the shell
The excessive gap between the spiral blade and the shell is an important reason for material leakage. When installing and adjusting the spiral feeder, the gap between the blades and the shell should be kept moderate, neither too large nor too small, to ensure that the material can be transported smoothly without leakage.
By implementing these measures, the efficiency and stability of the screw feeder can be significantly improved.
