The protective device and its functions of the belt conveyor are as follows:
1. Overload protection device: prevents the conveyor from being damaged due to overload.
2. Deviation protection device: prevent the belt from deviating or shifting during operation, and ensure that the belt always stays on the correct track.
3. Emergency stop device: In case of emergency, it can immediately stop the operation of the conveyor to avoid accidents or equipment damage.
4. Belt breakage protection device: prevents the belt from breaking or being damaged, and protects the equipment from further damage.
5. Fire prevention (based on actual reports) protective devices: prevent fires caused by friction or external sources of fire generated by conveyor belts, and protect the safety of equipment and operators.
6. Overtemperature protection device: prevents the conveyor from overheating during long-term high load operation, and protects the motor and drive device.
7. Material blocking protection device: prevents the conveyor belt from shutting down or being damaged due to material accumulation or blockage.
8. Slip protection device: prevents the conveyor belt from slipping and protects the drive system transmission.
9. Drum protection device: prevents abnormal operation of the conveyor drum, such as improper rotation or offset of the drum.
10. Lightning protection device: Protect the conveyor from damage caused by lightning strikes.
11. Overheating device: Monitor the temperature of the driving motor, transmission device, or electrical equipment to prevent equipment damage or fire caused by overheating.
12. Vibration monitoring device: Monitor the vibration of the conveyor during operation, promptly detect abnormal situations, and prevent excessive wear or damage to the equipment.
13. Speed protection: If the conveyor malfunctions, such as the motor burning out, the mechanical transmission part being damaged, the belt or chain being pulled apart, or the belt slipping, the magnetic switch in the accident sensor SG installed on the driven part of the conveyor cannot be closed or cannot be closed at normal speed. At this time, the control system will follow the inverse time characteristic. After a certain period of time, the speed protection circuit will take effect, causing the executing part to act and cutting off the power supply to the motor to avoid the accident from expanding.
14. Temperature protection: When the temperature of the belt conveyor drum exceeds the limit due to friction between the drum and the belt, the detection device (transmitter) installed closely to the drum sends an overtemperature signal. After receiving the signal, after 3 seconds, the executing part will be activated, cutting off the power supply to the motor, and the conveyor will automatically stop running, providing temperature protection.
15. Stop protection at any point along the conveyor: If a stop is required at any point along the conveyor, the corresponding switch should be turned to the center stop position, and the belt conveyor will immediately stop. When it needs to be turned on again, first reset the switch, and then press the signal switch to send a signal.
