Advantages and disadvantages of buried scraper conveyor
The buried scraper conveyor has the following advantages:
Simple structure: The buried scraper conveyor has a sturdy structure and is suitable for the needs of uneven and curved coal mining faces. It is easy to install.
Strong adaptability: able to transport various materials, including powder, granular, small block, stable performance, high temperature, flammable and explosive materials.
Flexible process layout: It can be arranged in horizontal, inclined, and vertical directions, and can be loaded and unloaded at multiple points, making the process layout flexible.
Good sealing performance: During transportation, the material will not be scattered, leaked, dustproof, waterproof (based on actual reports), anti-virus, and explosion-proof (based on actual reports).
Low energy consumption: The equipment is simple, small in size, light in weight, and has low energy consumption.
The disadvantages of buried scraper conveyor include:
High power consumption: When starting the load with no load or full load, the power consumption is high.
Limited transportation distance: Not suitable for long-distance transportation, generally suitable for short distance transportation.
Slow conveying speed: The conveying speed is low, usually between 0.08-0.8 meters per second.
Not suitable for viscous materials: Not suitable for conveying materials with high viscosity and easy clumping.
Applicable scenarios: The buried scraper conveyor is widely used in industries such as metallurgy, mining, and thermal power plants, especially for transporting high-temperature, toxic, flammable, explosive and other materials.
