Working principle of scraper conveyor

The main structure and components of various scraper conveyors are basically the same, consisting of three parts: the head, the middle part, and the tail part.

In addition, there are accessories such as hydraulic jacks and chain tightening devices used to push the conveyor. The machine head is composed of a head frame, a motor, a hydraulic coupler, a reducer, and a sprocket. The middle part consists of a transition groove, a middle groove, a chain, and a scraper. The tail is a scraper chain return device. The rear of the heavy-duty scraper conveyor, like the machine head, is equipped with a power transmission device that can distinguish the upper and lower machine heads from their installation positions.

The working principle of scraper conveyor is as follows.

1. Use the opened chute as a receiving component for coal or materials.

2. In general, a scraper is used to fix the traction tool on the chain for pulling coal, materials, etc.

3. During operation, the head drive operates to rotate the sprocket of the head shaft. At this point, the wiper blades circulate and move horizontally along the chute, such as coal and materials, until the nozzle head unloads.

4. The scraper chain wraps around the sprocket for a stepless closed cycle, completing material transportation.
