Chain drive bucket elevators are generally equipped with two parallel drive chains, two drive sprockets on the upper and lower sides, and one steering sprocket on the lower or upper side.

There are several main reasons for the blockage: firstly, the insufficient conveying capacity of the hoist leads to the blockage of the lower shell, which mainly involves the selection of the hoist model. Therefore, it is necessary to choose the corresponding model based on the actual lifting amount; When the rotating part of the lower sprocket of the elevator malfunctions, the bearings are damaged, other components wear out, or the lower drive shaft breaks, it can also cause blockage of the lower shell of the elevator; On the other hand, the position inside the discharge port of the elevator is relatively high, and some of the materials moving along the inner wall of the hopper collide with the outer shell of the discharge port, falling back into the interior of the elevator and causing blockage of the lower shell; One reason is that the material has too much moisture, and the adhesion between the material and the hopper causes the lower chassis to be blocked.

If operated improperly, or if there are errors in selection, installation, use, or design, it is easy to cause material blockage in the lower chassis of the bucket elevator.

The bucket elevator should have a fixed feeding device to evenly feed the material in the machine. Within the range of conveying capacity listed in the "Main Technical Specifications for Elevators" of this manual, the feeding capacity of the feeding device must not be too high, causing the lower area to be blocked by the conveyed material. The door is closed when the elevator is working. Appropriate lighting equipment should be installed on the upper, lower, and frequently opened inspection doors. Stop working immediately if there is a malfunction during the work process. The spiral tensioning device should be adjusted appropriately in the lower area to maintain the normal tension of the tape. Management personnel should regularly observe the working condition of the tape in the hopper of the vertical bucket elevator and remove damaged hoppers. However, it does not have a significant impact on the work and the waiting time for maintenance should be recorded. Management personnel should regularly inspect the working conditions of each part, but it is prohibited to clean and repair the moving parts of the machine during operation.
