Two Layout Forms of Scrapers for Buried Scraper Conveyor
The scraper can be arranged in two forms inside and outside the groove.
When transporting horizontally, the chain is attached to the bottom of the groove, and the scraper is upward and inward; The scraper is attached to the bottom of the groove, and the chain is facing outward from above. When running to the vertical lifting section, the internal and external directions are as shown in Figure 6-15.
These two types of scraper arrangements have many different characteristics during operation and transportation:
When transported horizontally, the internal scraper is in good stress state and runs smoothly. The scraper does not bear additional torque and bending moment because the chain contacts the bottom of the groove and the scraper extends upwards. The external scraper is opposite.
In vertical lifting, the two types of scraper layouts have little effect on vertical lifting, and the conveying performance is basically the same, but the outer scraper is more conducive to unloading from the discharge port.
When passing through a bend, the space for the outer scraper gradually increases and returns to its original state after passing through the bend. This feature results in low operating resistance, high conveying resistance, stable operation, and low wear and noise. But the space for the inner scraper gradually decreases and returns to its original state after passing through the bend. This characteristic results in high operating resistance, low conveying resistance, unstable operation, high wear and tear, and loud noise. Therefore, when calculating the tension of the scraper chain, the internal and external resistance coefficients of the scraper will encounter different k0 problems. Usually taken when arranged inward. k0=1, When arranging externally, k0=1.5 is taken
From a maintenance perspective, an external scraper is more conducive to observing the operation status of the scraper chain, which can prevent accidents in a timely manner and facilitate the maintenance and replacement of the scraper chain.
5. In terms of equipment size, the structure size of the scraper conveyor with outward arranged time slots is larger, while the structure size of the scraper conveyor with inward arranged time slots is smaller. The standard layout of the buried scraper conveyor has been determined for the inward direction of the scraper. For example, T-shaped scrapers do not have inward orientation; The MS model of U-shaped scraper is arranged inward, and the MZ model can only use inward scraper, while other models generally only use outward scraper.
