Maintenance of bucket elevator

1. The minor repair of the bucket elevator is carried out every six months, including the following:

a. Check if the wire connections inside the motor junction box are loose;

b. Check the looseness of the fastening bolts of the coupling, machine head, and bucket, and replace damaged bolts;

c. Check the wear of the rubber plates on the head and bottom wheels (some bucket elevators have them) and replace them if necessary;

d. Clean the residual materials on the machine head, machine base, and intermediate cylinder shell wall;

e. Inspect all buckets, organize or replace deformed buckets;

f. Clean or replace the observation window glass;

g. For the chain driven bucket elevator, clean the chain sprocket and check the wear of the chain and sprocket, and replace them if necessary;

h. Replace the lubricating oil of the gearbox, check and clean the ventilation hole cover, and replace it if necessary;

j. Dismantle, clean and inspect the bearings of the anti reverse mechanism, add lubricating oil, and replace the fixing bolts of the anti reverse mechanism;

2. Mid term maintenance is conducted once a year, including the following:

a. Minor revision of all content;

b. Check the wear of motor bearings, replace severely worn bearings, and replace lubricating grease;

c. Check and clean the bucket elevator head wheel, bottom wheel bearings, and bearing seats, replace severely worn bearings and bearing seats, and replace lubricating grease and sealing rings;

d. Check the wear of the head and bottom wheels and repair or replace them as needed;

e. Check the wear of the dustbin belt and replace it if necessary;

f. Disassemble and clean the gearbox, check the wear of each component, and repair or replace severely worn parts;

g. Check the discharge port baffle, and replace it if it is severely worn;

h. Check the sealing condition of the connection between the barrel, inlet, and outlet, and replace the sealing gasket if necessary;

i. Check the deformation of the barrel and the verticality of the bucket elevator, and adjust the verticality of the barrel to not exceed 8mm;

j. Brush paint on the barrel.
