Characteristics of using spiral conveyor:

Multi point loading and unloading are convenient, and mixed functions can also be completed simultaneously; Overload sensitivity, easy blockage, high energy consumption; Crushing of coarse-grained materials, suitable for transporting fine-grained coal. Its structural characteristics are: simple structure, easy maintenance, convenient work, small cross-sectional coefficient, compact and flexible layout, closed transportation, low environmental pollution, small working conditions, severe wear of parts, and low conveying capacity.

The main components of a screw conveyor are:

Drive device, terminal bearing seat, spiral shaft, spiral blade, terminal feed port, intermediate feed port, intermediate bearing seat, terminal bearing seat, intermediate discharge port, terminal discharge port, machine slot, etc. The number of feed and discharge ports can be selected according to the actual situation. The driving device is the power part of the screw conveyor, which is divided into single drive and double drive; Bearings include terminal bearings and intermediate bearings. The end bearing is located outside the groove for easy installation and maintenance, preventing dust from entering the bearing; The groove is an important component of the screw conveyor that supports the screw shaft, intermediate bearings, and transports materials.

From the perspective of material displacement direction, screw conveyors are divided into horizontal screw conveyors and vertical screw conveyors, mainly used for horizontal conveying and vertical lifting of various loose materials such as powders, particles, and small pieces. Spiral conveyors are not suitable for conveying materials that are prone to deterioration, viscosity, clumping, high temperature, pressure resistance, and corrosion resistance (based on actual reports). The rotating spiral blades move the material into the screw conveyor, and the force that prevents the material from rotating with the screw conveyor blades is the weight of the material itself and the frictional resistance of the screw conveyor shell against the material. According to the different materials being transported, the surface types of the spiral blades welded on the rotating shaft of the screw conveyor include solid surface type, belt surface type, and blade surface type. The screw shaft of the screw conveyor has a thrust bearing at the end of the material movement direction, which provides axial reaction force to the screw with the material. When the captain is long, an intermediate suspension bearing should be added.

Spiral conveyor is a continuous conveying equipment that uses spiral rotation to propel materials. Suitable for conveying various powders, particles, and small pieces of materials. Widely used in chemical, building materials, power, coal, metallurgy, grain and other sectors such as coal powder, flour, cement, fertilizer, ash, stone, sand and gravel, grains, small coal, etc. Due to its small internal circulation area, screw conveyors are not easy to transport materials that are prone to deterioration, high viscosity, and clumping.
