Manual Slide Gate Valve
The manual slide gate valve is a widely used cut-off device for conveying systems of powder, granular and lump materials. Driven by handwheel and screw stem, the gate plate moves up and down linearly to open or close the pipeline. It is extensively applied in dust removal, building materials, metallurgy, chemical industry, grain, environmental protection and other fields.
Structure
This valve consists of valve body, gate plate, screw drive mechanism, handwheel, sealing assembly and flange connections. With modular design, it features compact structure and easy disassembly, facilitating on-site maintenance and parts replacement. The valve body is integrally welded or cast, featuring high strength and good wear resistance for harsh working conditions.
Working Principle
Rotating the handwheel drives the screw stem, converting rotary motion into linear movement of the gate plate. Turn the handwheel clockwise to lift the gate plate and fully open the pipeline for material flow. Turn it counterclockwise to lower the gate plate, which presses tightly against the sealing surface to completely block the material passage. Adopting full bore design, the valve has no dead space for material accumulation, ensuring smooth material conveying and low flow resistance.
Sealing Types
Two sealing structures are available: soft seal and hard seal.
Soft Seal: Equipped with rubber or PTFE seals, it provides excellent sealing performance. Ideal for normal temperature and low pressure working conditions with dust and granular materials, and features easy operation.
Hard Seal: Adopts metal sealing structure, which is high temperature resistant, erosion resistant and wear resistant. It is suitable for high temperature, heavily worn and large particle material applications with long service life.
