The common causes of blockage in air conveying chutes include high material humidity, abnormal breathable layer, foreign object mixing, insufficient air pressure, unreasonable slope design, and improper operation and maintenance.
1、 Material properties and humidity issues
1. Excessive material humidity: Moisture causes the material to adhere to the inner wall, reducing fluidity, especially during the rainy season or when the humidity is too high;
2. Sudden change in material characteristics: During transportation, the humidity, viscosity, or particle size of the material suddenly change, exceeding the designed load-bearing capacity of the inclined chute.
2、 Abnormal equipment structure and components
1. Damage or aging of the breathable layer: Damage leads to uneven airflow distribution, material suspension failure, and the formation of air columns at gaps that hinder flow;
2. Porous plate rupture or improper installation: rupture causes air leakage, and gaps between plates form air columns to block materials;
3. Poor sealing or air leakage of the inclined groove: Air leakage leads to insufficient air pressure, and the material cannot be fluidized.
3、 Operating conditions and control drawbacks
1. Insufficient air volume and pressure: Insufficient air volume caused by fan reversal, filter blockage or improper design, resulting in material fluidization failure;
2. Unreasonable slope design: The slope is too small, resulting in slow material flow. Increasing the slope by 1% can increase the flow rate by about 20%;
3. Poor exhaust creates positive pressure: Delayed exhaust from the upper tank results in positive pressure, causing the material to be unable to suspend due to downward pressure.
