The difference between screw conveyor and scraper conveyor mainly lies in their structure, conveying principle, applicable materials, sealing performance, and application scenarios.
1、 Structure and Transport Principle
Spiral conveyor drives materials by rotating spiral blades, suitable for materials such as powders and particles. Its structure includes the conveyor body, inlet and outlet, and driving equipment. The spiral blades have three modes: solid spiral surface, belt spiral surface, and blade spiral surface.
Scraper conveyor uses chains and scrapers to drag materials, suitable for block and bulk materials. Its structure includes a chain, scraper, and driving device, suitable for long-distance and large angle conveying.
2、 Applicable materials
Spiral conveyors are suitable for conveying powdered and granular materials, such as cement, coal powder, grains, etc. Its sealing performance is good, but the conveying distance is short.
Scraper conveyor is suitable for conveying block and bulk materials, such as coal, ore, etc., and can be used for long-distance and large angle conveying.
3、 Sealing performance
Spiral conveyors usually have good sealing properties, which can prevent material leakage and environmental pollution.
The sealing performance of scraper conveyors is relatively poor, making them suitable for situations where sealing requirements are not high.
4、 Application scenarios
Spiral conveyors are widely used in industries such as building materials, metallurgy, chemical engineering, power, coal, and machinery. They are suitable for horizontal, diagonal, and vertical conveying and can meet different conveying environments and height requirements.
Scraper conveyor is mainly used for conveying materials at the bottom and top of the silo, suitable for linear conveying, not suitable for diagonal or curved conveying.
