1、 What are the loading and unloading methods of bucket elevators?
1. Excavation type loading: The material enters the bottom casing from the feeding port at the lower part of the elevator, and when the hopper is brought to the material pile by the traction component, the material is directly excavated and lifted. This loading method is suitable for conveying loose materials such as powders, granules, and small pieces with low wear and tear. The conveying speed is high, up to 2m/s, and the hoppers are arranged at intervals.
2. Sprinkler feeding: The material is directly added to the moving hopper. This loading method is suitable for large and highly abrasive materials, with low conveying speeds (
2、 There are three main unloading methods for bucket elevators:
1. Centrifugal unloading: When the hopper rises to the top of the hoist, it changes from linear motion to rotational motion, and the material in the hopper is thrown out due to the centrifugal force. This unloading method is suitable for situations where a fast lifting speed is required, usually at a speed of 1-2m/s. It is suitable for dry and loose materials with small particle size and low wear, and a certain distance should be maintained between hoppers.
2. Gravity unloading: Unloading is achieved by using the material's own gravity to fall. This unloading method is suitable for situations where a low lifting speed is required, generally ranging from 0.5 to 0.8m/s. It is suitable for large, wear-resistant, and fragile materials with tightly arranged hoppers.
3. Centrifugal gravity unloading: utilizing the dual effects of centrifugal force and gravity to achieve unloading. This unloading method is suitable for situations where a low lifting speed is required, generally ranging from 0.6 to 0.8m/s, and is suitable for loose, fibrous, or wet materials with poor fluidity.
3、 Application scenarios and maintenance of bucket elevator
Bucket elevators are widely used in the grain, feed, and seed processing industries. During use, it is necessary to pay attention to the following maintenance items:
1. The bucket elevator should be driven with no load, and all materials in the hopper should be drained before each shutdown.
2. Feed evenly and do not suddenly increase the feeding amount to prevent the accumulation of bottom materials from causing "stuffiness".
3. Timely and appropriately replenish lubricating oil, regularly check the wear of the chain and hopper, and replace them if necessary.
