Application scope and main advantages and disadvantages of plate conveyor
Plate conveyors are widely used in metallurgy, coal, chemical industry, power, machinery manufacturing, and other industrial sectors of the national economy. It can transport various loose materials and finished items in a horizontal or inclined direction; It can also be used to transport finished items on assembly lines. Due to its load-bearing and operating parts being composed of metal materials, compared with other continuous transportation machinery, it can transport heavier, larger grained, and highly abrasive materials or finished products, suitable for transporting high-temperature materials or finished products at 600-700 ℃.
Plate conveyors have the following advantages.
(1) Widely applicable. Except for materials with particularly high viscosity, solid materials and finished products can generally be used for transportation.
(2) Large conveying capacity. Especially the production capacity of the scale plate conveyor (commonly known as the double chain belt edge wave plate conveyor) can reach 1000L/h.
The traction chain has good strength and can be used for long-distance transportation. The current usage length of plate conveyors in China has reached 200m.; Some foreign countries have already used plate conveyors that are over 1000 meters long.
4) The layout of the transmission line is flexible. Compared with belt conveyors, plate conveyors can transport at larger inclinations and smaller bending radii. The inclination angle of the plate conveyor can reach 30 degrees. °~35 °, with a bending radius generally around 5-8m.
During transportation, various processing techniques can be carried out, such as classification, drying, assembly, etc. (6) Smooth and excellent operation.
Plate conveyors have the following drawbacks.
(1) Due to the fact that all components of the plate conveyor are made of metal materials, the bottom plate and traction chain are heavy, resulting in high consumption of metal materials, heavy body weight, and high no-load power.
(2) The bottom plate and traction chain wear out quickly, lubrication and maintenance are inconvenient, and the noise is loud. (3) The structure is complex, the manufacturing workload is large, the self weight is high, and the cost is high.
